Noble Markets — Privacy Policy

1. Summary
We collect the minimum needed to run our services: your account identity via our authentication provider, the forecasts you submit, and, if you join a mailing list, your email address.
We do not collect payment information. The service is free.
You appear publicly only under a randomised alias, never your name or email.
Your forecasts are public and permanent, and remain in the historical record after account deletion. See §5 and §9. This is the most important thing in this policy.
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
If you join our waitlist or request research from noble.markets, we keep your email address, and for the waitlist the role you select, to send you what you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
2. Scope and who we are
This policy covers noble.markets and any Noble product that links to it, including Noble Xenon. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.
Noble Data Technologies, Inc. is the controller of the personal data described here.

3. What we collect
Account and identity. Through our authentication provider, Clerk: your email address, your name and profile image if your sign-in method provides them, authentication credentials or third-party sign-in identifiers, and a unique account identifier. Your name and profile image are kept for account administration and are never shown publicly.
Your alias. On first sign-in we generate a randomised two-word public alias. It is permanent and cannot be changed or re-rolled. This is deliberate, because a forecasting track record is only meaningful if it stays attached to one identity. It is not derived from your name or email.
Forecasting activity. The forecasts you submit (currency pair, market, predicted rate, and timestamps) and everything derived from them: accuracy and consistency scores, credibility, leaderboard rank, and rank history.
Mailing lists. If you join the waitlist on noble.markets, we collect your email address and the role you select. If you request a research paper, we collect your email address and send the paper to it. We use these only to send what you asked for and updates about the Noble product or research you signed up for. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link.
Technical data. Standard server, security, and request logs from our hosting and authentication providers, including IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. Used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
Website analytics. On noble.markets we use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Plausible does not use cookies and does not store personal data. Visitors are counted using a hash of IP address and browser information combined with a value that changes daily, so a visitor cannot be identified or followed across days or other sites. Noble Xenon does not use analytics.
Interface preferences. We set one first-party cookie, nx_sidebar_collapsed, to remember whether you collapsed the navigation sidebar, so pages load at the right width. It stores only whether the sidebar is collapsed, lasts up to one year, and is not used to identify you or for analytics.
We do not collect payment card or bank details, government identifiers, precise location, or special-category data.

5. What is public
This is the most important thing to understand about Noble Xenon.
Your alias and your forecasts are public and permanent. They are included in public consensus pages, explicitly on the public leaderboard, and in the historical record. Individual forecasts are shown anonymously as unlabelled points on dispersion charts; leaderboard standings are shown under your alias.
Your email address and real name are never displayed publicly and are never associated with your alias on any public surface.
The alias exists precisely so that someone in a corporate role can participate without exposing their identity. Even so, treat anything you submit as permanently public.
6. How we use it
- Operate the service: authenticate you, record forecasts, compute consensus, credibility, leaderboards, and rank history, and publish results
- Communicate with you about the service, including account and security notices
- Send research you request and updates you have signed up for
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and investigate manipulation of the forecasting record
- Debug and improve the service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Who we share it with
Service providers processing data on our behalf under contract:

Our market-data provider receives no personal data. We request currency rates, not anything about you.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our Terms, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. International transfers
Most of our providers are located in the United States and process data there. Plausible Analytics is hosted in the European Union. If you access the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Where required, transfers from the EEA or UK rely on Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into our providers' data processing agreements.
9. Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active. On deletion we delete your email address, name, profile image and authentication identifiers.
Forecasts and derived statistics are not deleted. They remain in the public historical record, attached to your alias but severed from your identity. We retain them because:
- Published consensus figures are append-only historical records. Removing inputs retroactively would falsify a record others may have relied on.
- The integrity of a public forecasting track record depends on it being complete. Selective removal would allow a poor record to be erased.
Once your account is deleted, the alias is no longer linked to any identifying information we hold.
Please consider this before submitting. If you need forecasts removed for a specific reason, contact us and we will consider the request.
Security and server logs are retained per our providers' periods, currently 1 - 30 days across our providers.
Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops all further emails from that list.
10. Your rights
Everyone. You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete your account.
EEA and UK residents have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent you may withdraw it at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California residents have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out mechanism is required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
How to exercise. Contact contact@noble.markets. We verify requests through the email address associated with your account and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Note the limitation in §9: deletion applies to account data, not to the public forecasting record.
11. Cookies
We use only cookies needed to operate the service: session and security cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery, and one preference cookie of our own that remembers your sidebar layout (see §3). We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our website analytics (Plausible) does not use cookies.
12. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest through our providers, scoped access controls, and credential rotation. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
The service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact contact@noble.markets.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be signalled by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notice through the service.
